What in an RSS Feed?


The RSS Feed is simply an XMLl file that uses code to “communicate” with Gtcdrom. Every blog or news site has its own RSS Feed. For WordPress sites, you just add "/feed" to the site's web address.


For example: For Gtcdrom, the RSS Feed is "https://Gtcdrom.io/blog/feed". If you need help to find your RSS feed URL go here.


Keep in mind, the RSS Feed automation only shares the articles to your social media channels, not your WordPress site. To share articles to WordPress through Gtcdrom, follow the steps here.


Each article will be auto-shared or auto-published only once. However, you can manually share articles a few times, as shown here.


How to work with your RSS feeds in Gtcdrom:


  • Go to Explore tab on Gtcdrom.
  • Choose RSS Feeds
  • Click on All RSS Feeds dropdown.
  • Select/Search the RSS Feed you need.



You can filter the RSS feeds by usage:


  1. Used
  2. Unused



Automating RSS Feeds in Gtcdrom:


RSS Feed will pick up all of your new articles, store them in Gtcdrom's library, and then it will Auto-post, Auto-schedule, or take No Action depending on the settings you have chosen.

  2. Auto-post


To automate the RSS Feeds:


  • Go to the RSS Feeds tab.
  • Select one of the RSS feeds and click on the 3 dots > Settings.



  • Choose a way to automate your RSS Feeds (auto-schedule/auto-post) and click on Save.

Keep in mind:


  • Keep in mind, the RSS Feed automation only shares the articles to your social media channels, not your WordPress site. To share articles to WordPress through Gtcdrom, follow the steps here.
  • Only the new articles can be automated, not the existing ones. New articles are all the articles that are published after connecting yours RSS feed to Gtcdrom.
  • Normally, only the 10 most recent articles will be returned when you first add your RSS Feed to Gtcdrom. If some of your RSS Feed articles do not show up, you might need to change your Feed's settings or hard sync as mentioned here.
  • To add line breaks to posts from RSS Feeds, the descriptions of the entries in the RSS Feed must include: \n
  • Each aticle will be auto-shared or auto-published only once. However, you can manually share articles a few times, as shown here.
  • Some RSS Feeds might not always show the correct thumbnail for their articles on Gtcdrom. In this case, you have to make sure that your site has the correct Meta Tags set up. Learn more about how you can tackle this problem here.
  • In order to prevent abuse, you can only schedule the RSS Feed articles up to 5 years in advance. In case you hit this limit, we recommend you create more time slots in the posting schedule. Each RSS feed article will be assigned to a respective time-slot in the posting schedule. Learn more here.
